MacBook Pro 2021 – release date, price, technical specification 09/27/2021

We expect the next-generation MacBook Pro to arrive in the fall of 2021 – about 12 months after the last update of the 13-inch model. The latest rumors suggest that the refreshed MacBook Pro may appear on the market a little earlier – during the summer.

The well-known analyst Ming Chi-Kuo predicted that a 14-inch MacBook Pro with a Mini-LED screen will appear on the market in December 2020. Later, he changed his forecast – he currently claims that the premiere will take place in the fall. delays are related to Mini-LED screens. Apple is struggling with delivery problems due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

There is a shadow of a chance that the new generation MacBook Pro will appear at the WWDC conference in June 2021. Certainly, references to the upcoming models will be found in test versions of the new macOS family system (see our macOS Big Sur review).

MacBook Pro 2021 - First redesign in five years

The MacBook Pro 2021 will receive a completely new housing. However, it will not be a design similar to the upcoming MacBook Air 2021. Apple knows that the MacBook Pro is a computer for professionals and people in management positions. The MacBook Pro housing will be subdued and more elegant than the youth Aira.

The most important changes that we will see in the MacBook Pro 2021 are:

-Design reminiscent of iPhone 12 with flat edges
-no Touch Bar
-return of the magnetic MagSafe charging connector
-more ports – there will be a full-size HDMI and a memory card reader

Surprisingly, the lack of the Touch Bar. On the web, we can find information suggesting that this solution has not been adopted on the market. Personally, I really appreciate the Touch Bar and I will miss it.

New design of macbook pro 2021

A Bloomberg report from May 2021 suggested that the premiere of the new MacBook Pro would take place during the summer. A month has passed since then, and we know that the new MacBook Pro won’t make its debut that soon.

Mark Gurman gave his latest predictions today. In the Power On newsletter it was reported that the MacBook Pro will debut at an undetermined time in 2021.

Gurman emphasized that the refreshed model will again receive HDMI and a memory card reader. We also expect the return of the MagSafe magnetic charging connector.

We learned from the newsletter that the coming (holiday) weeks will not be full of hardware premieres, but we can expect the premiere of the MacBook Pro this year.

Currently, we should expect the release of the MacBook Pro at the earliest around mid-September 2021, but it is unlikely that Apple will present new laptops together with smartphones from the iPhone 13 family.

The premiere around October or early November is much more realistic. This information was provided by Dylandkt last week. In May, it confirmed the new design and the return of more ports.
